As part of our commitment to developing youth leaders, the Coatesville Youth Initiative is pleased to announce our Second Annual Coatesville Youth Conference (CYC) will be Saturday, November 4, 2017.  Hosted on the Coatesville Area High School Campus for 300 students in grades 6-12, the day will offer inspirational programming and workshops for Chester County youth. The 2017 Conference theme is BREAKTHROUGH LEADERSHIP.

We are looking for passionate presenters to share their messages with conference participants. Workshops should deliver a positive message that will motivate and guide youth to be strong leaders in their own lives and communities. We invite experienced presenters to submit proposals.  Possible workshop topics include (but are not limited to) College Readiness, High School Readiness, Healthy Relationships, Goal Setting, Community Advocacy, Entrepreneurship, Overcoming Adversity and Youth Leadership .

Workshop Requirements:

  • Presenters must commit approximately 3 hours in the morning (8:30 am – 11:30 am) and will prepare a one hour workshop for approximately 20-25 middle and/or high school youth (workshop will be delivered twice).
  • Workshops should be well-organized, include engaging/meaningful activities, be highly interactive, and provide youth with tangible lessons they can apply now and in the future.
  • All proposals will be reviewed within 30 days. Due to time and space limitations, we regret that we are unable to accept all proposals.
