The CYI Beyond the Bikes program provides free new or rebuilt bicycles to youth, adults, and families living in the Greater Coatesville Area who are facing barriers or just need a bike. We believe that everyone should have access to cycling for fun, exercise, reliable transportation, and the freedom that bikes provide.
How Does the Program Work?
-
Bikes are collected (through generous donations).
-
Bikes are professionally analyzed, repaired, and made ready for use.
-
Bikes are given to a Coatesville youth and/or adult who is in need of a bicycle.
To Request a Bike:
If you are in need of a bike, please use this link to put in a request for a bike: https://cyi.wufoo.com/forms/z1bmpsfr1cff1e8/
Completing the application does not guarantee you a bike, as bikes are given out on a first-come-first-served basis.
Bikes are limited to ONE bike per person.
To Donate a Bike:
If you would like to donate a bike, or if you have any questions, please contact Sammy at 610-380-0200 ext. 207 or samantha@coatesvilleyouthinitiative.org.
CYI accepts bikes in new or good condition (so no rust or missing parts). We also accept donations of tools, parts, and money. The money will go towards buying helmets, locks, tools, and parts.
This bike program is made possible with support from the Downingtown Bike Shop.
